Little Tees Program

4-5 year olds: must be 4 yrs. old before April 1st.

4 & 5 year old boys and girls are introduced to the basics of hitting a ball from a baseball tee, catching, throwing, and running the bases in a non-competitive instructional league. All practices and games are approximately 60 minutes long and are held on Friday nights at the Werth Tee-Ball Complex. Lil' Tees players enjoy the same benefits as the regular tee-ball players.

How does Lil' Tees Work?

The batter uses a special lightweight bat to swing at the ball that is placed on a batting tee over home plate. The batter becomes a runner and advances to first base only. Subsequent batters will advance the runners one base at a time. Numerous coaches and volunteers are on the field to guide these young players with their base running and fielding. Games will be no longer than one hour. Watching and participating in these games will provide memories filled with laughter and mayhem, guaranteed! We ABSOLUTELY encourage parents to become involved with coaching, umpiring, and concession stand. It's a BLAST!!

Enrollment is limited (until all space is taken). For more details, contact Steve Fitzmaurice, at (630) 675-8715

Coach Pitch Program

7-8 year olds:

coachpitchBoys and Girls who are 7 years old by July 31st and are (NOT) 9 years old before July 31st are eligible to play in our coach-pitch league. Players learn to bat a baseball that is safely pitched to them by their own coach and develop basic baseball skills in a minimally competitive league with a 10 game schedule.

Objective of this Program: This coach pitch division is intended to be a logical transition from tee-ball to player-pitch baseball/softball. Players develop the skills of batting, fielding and base running in this minimally competitive league while learning the rules that closely resemble those of baseball. Players are taught to bat at a ball that is safely pitched to them by their own coach. Emphasis is always placed on having fun, player safety, and sportsmanship! Regulation tee-ball rules will apply except as modified by the special coach pitch rules as noted in the tee-ball rule book. Please refer to tee-ball rule book for complete rules.
